Welcome to BHF - Lundwood Surgery
Barnsley Healthcare Federation is a not for profit, Community Interest Company, we were formed by a group of Barnsley GPs in June 2015. Our guiding principle is to deliver patient focussed care that improves health outcomes for the residents of Barnsley.
We are currently accepting new patients at Lundwood Surgery, if you wish to register please call in to our Reception where you can complete a registration form.
Dear patients it is with regret we have to inform you that we have received a notification from NHSE&I in regards to reducing routine blood tests.
The NHSE&I communication advises that we must reduce demand for blood tests due to a supply chain issue with blood tubes. Please appreciate this is a national issue and nothing to do with our individual practices.
This advice is in place across all NHS services Until 17 September 2021:
- All primary care and community testing must be halted, except for clinically urgent testing.
- You may therefore be contacted by a member of the clinical team to advise your blood test is postponed until sample supplies are restored.
This will be monitored on a daily basis by clinicians to ensure safety and that effective reduction is being achieved.
Please note this is a temporary situation, further updates will be posted on our websites as the situation develops.’
Thank you for your patience BHF.
We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.
Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.
